The venture will deliver a number of new large format international retailers, high-quality fashion retailers, an exciting food and entertainment offering and 150 residential apartments. This is in addition to the current retail on offer, which includes department stores and Perth’s leading range of fashion retailers.
The development of Karrinyup will boost the Western Australian economy through the creation of 2,500 jobs during construction and will provide sustainable long-term employment opportunities for the next generation with a further 2,500 jobs generated in retail sales, support and management.
The expansion will see the centre grow from 59,715 square metres to 113,000 square metres and will surpass all other retail precincts previously delivered in Perth for its range of shops, lifestyle and entertainment options.
The Mayor of the City of Stirling, Councillor Giovanni Italiano, said the city is very excited about the new works at Karrinyup Shopping Centre. “The new-look centre will be destination shopping at its finest and, on behalf of Council, I can say that we are all greatly anticipating the end result, which will be simply outstanding.”
